Dr. Derek Puddester

The International Coach Federation defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching is a client-driven process that’s distinct from other service professions, such as counselling, mentoring, consulting and training.

Dr. Puddester completed his executive coaching training at Canada's Royal Roads University in 2011.  He is a member of the International Coach Federation and holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential.  Committed to ongoing professional development, he completed Royal Roads Program in Advanced Coaching Practices in 2017.

He has served hundreds of physician clients since opening his coaching practice in 2011. Many come looking to focus on burnout, career strategy, work/life integration, enhancing professionalism, and practice transition. As a member of ICF, Dr. Puddester is committed to confidential, effective, and practical coaching.  60% of his referrals come from former clients.

Over the past few years, he has been increasingly sought to provide group and team coaching services in Hospitals and Academic Departments.  To help address this need, he has completed additional training in Group/Team Coaching.

Dr. Puddester has also obtained certification as a LEADS coach and facilitator from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.  He is proud to support their framework of leadership.
